Kristin Richards Music

Kristin Kelley Richards is a graduate of Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts (Bachelor of Music) and University of Colorado at Boulder (Master of Music). During her graduate studies, Kristin was awarded a teaching assistantship, where she taught college level music classes and completed her Masters thesis.

Kristin served as Music Director at The Forman School, The Gunnery, and St. Joseph School. She was also an instructor at the National Guitar Workshop, where she taught the seminar "Rock and Roll Kids." In 2001, she published two textbooks, Keyboard Made Easy and A Curriculum Guide for Day Jams for Workshop Arts. Kristin has also served as a teacher for Kindermusik International and as an online course facilitator for Boston University's Online Music Education Program, University of Phoenix and currently for American Public University System.

Kristin currently serves as a private music instructor at The Gunnery, Rumsey Hall School, and in the local area. Kristin sings and plays the piano, flute, guitar, mandolin, ukulele, bass guitar and the Appalachian mountain dulcimer. She lives with her husband and two children at their home in northwestern Connecticut.
